Hello there,

I am a Manufacturing Engineer who has spent the last several years investigating a career change. After much deliberation, and time spent with a career councillor, it has turned out that Teaching is top of the list. Sorry to ramble on... back to what I would like some help with:

Does anyone know how I would be able to sit in on some primary school classes so I can get a feel for the real day to day activities of a primary teacher?

I have heard that as I will be qualifying from a grad dip my future earning potential may be lower than if I did a full education degree. Is there truth in this?

Thanks so much for any information you can give on this topic.

Cheers,

P
