Why doesn't my DataTable on ASP.NET sort numeric column numerically

You checked database column type is numeric but it wasn't sorted numerically. What went wrong?
Was there a NULL in the column. It may have been rendered as a space,   rather than a number. So the column was sorted as a string. Is this case, consider setting the null to 0.

If the database column is not numeric, eg, string, using "DataTable { "sType": 'numeric',..." won't help sorting the column numerically. You may need to write custom sorting.
