Essentials for YAF upgrade and DB migration

Upgrade to YAF 1.9.6.1

Upgrade to YAF 1.9.5.5

You must read Readme.htm in the installation.

Integrate YAF in an existing ASP.NET application

Key points:
1.Backup & remove
2.Be careful not to delete the /images or /upload directory.
3.BACKUP YOUR DATABASE

Issues, solutions and workarounds

Upgrade from 1.9.8.1 to 1.9.6.1 - insatllation wizard cannot create procedure yaf_forum_moderators

After upgrade to 1.9.6.1 from 1.9.1.8, null reference occurred YAF.Controls.DisplayPostFooter.Displa - Error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" occurred in DisplayPostFooter
It's easy to fix this error, just add YAF profile provider to web.config.
Code:
    <profile enabled="true" defaultProvider="YafProfileProvider" inherits="YAF.Utils.YafUserProfile">
      <providers>
        <clear/>
        <add connectionStringName="yafnet" applicationName="YetAnotherForum" name="YafProfileProvider" type="YAF.Providers.Profile.YafProfileProvider"/>
      </providers>
    </profile>
