Tina Marsden brings more than 20 years of teaching experience to every lesson. She has tutored students from elementary to tertiary standard, the majority of whom have successfully passed AMEB Grade 1 to A.Mus examinations.
Tina completed music studies in Munich, Germany and thereafter taught at a music school in southern Germany from 1998-1999. She returned to Brisbane in 2000 and quickly established herself as a sought-after teacher within the South-East Queensland corner.
Tina held a sessional position instructing, examining and auditioning flautists at the Queensland Conservatorium for four years. She was the flute tutor and conductor of the Young Conservatorium Flute Ensemble (an organisation helping high school students to prepare for tertiary study or higher music exams) for five years. At the 2007 Brisbane Eisteddfod Tina was awarded the 'Most Outstanding Woodwind Teacher Award'.
Tina has hosted a private studio throughout her music studies and beyond, in Brisbane and Munich. She moved to Sydney a few years ago and has since been busy teaching in schools across the city.
Tina enjoys the challenge of finding innovative ways to encourage students to do their best. She is especially interested in what music technology offers the student within the private flute studio setting.
