Special Purpose

Yarra Valley Grammar students thrive in an atmosphere of support, encouragement and positivity. Students support each other and celebrate each other’s successes. At all year levels our students work together in a co-educational environment on the one campus of 29 hectares in Melbourne's east.

Our Early Learning Centre caters for boys and girls for three and four year olds with comprehensive full and part time programs taught in our purpose-built centre opened in 2010. Our ELC has recently been awarded Exceeding National Quality Standard on all seven measures of quality by the Department of Education and Training.

Junior School students, Prep to Year 6 enjoy all the benefits of a separate, small primary school, whilst still having full access to the outstanding facilities and opportunities offered as part of a whole-school approach to continuous learning including swimming pool, sport fields and performing arts centre.

Secondary education at Yarra Valley Grammar is divided into two schools – the Middle School for Years 7-9 students and Senior School for students in Years 10-12 - with lots of opportunities for vertical integration between year levels. Explore what Yarra Valley Grammar has to offer and find out how we tailor the learning experience for students at every age and level.

Class of 2019 VCE results

In 2019, Yarra Valley Grammar’s VCE students have once again achieved some excellent and well deserved results.

All eligible students successfully completed the VCE with 36.5% of students achieving an ATAR of 90 or above. The median ATAR of 85.4 is our highest performance to date and means that more than half of the year level achieved in the top 15% of the state. There were seven perfect scores of 50 and the joint Duces of the School Madi Phuah and Max Sammann achieved an ATAR of 99.75. This is an outstanding achievement.

For the whole cohort, 18.8% of the study scores were over 40 and the median study score for the year was 34.
