Academic Results and Trends

Year 12 ATAR | Secondary | Primary

Northside Christian College,QLD

Consistently Strong Academic Results The college is acknowledged as a "School identifying substantially above average gain" by Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA). Our students achieve academic results well above the State average and excel in the arts, sports and community service. The secondary school was ranked in the top 7% of Queensland schools in The Australian's annual school rating (2016), while the primary school is in top 1% of best performing Primary Schools in North Brisbane and Moreton Bay (Naplan 2016). Vocational Education Opportunities High school students may choose from two equally valid pathways: the Vocational Educational (Voc Ed) pathway, which leads ultimately to a trade through an apprenticeship, traineeship, or approved course; or for students wishing to continue to tertiary studies, the College offers the OP pathway.

Music, Drama and Performing Arts Bands, orchestras, ensembles, choirs, and dance groups are fixtures in the co-curricular program. Performing on stage builds confidence and poise and teaches young people valuable life skills about managing nerves and resilience. State-of-the art Centre for Innovation and Creativity The new Centre for Innovation and Creativity will be open in Term 2, 2017 and will provide state-of-the-art facilities. We want to mentor tomorrow’s social innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers. The new facility will offer: Drama and dance studios, design technology, film, television & new media, recording studios, music, visual art, gallery walk and entrepreneurial hub. Sports Sport is an integral part of student life at Northside. Students of all ages benefit from the diverse range of sporting opportunities offered through inter-house and interschool carnivals, interschool fixtures, tournaments, gala days, social sport, regular fitness training and lunch time competitions. There’s something for everyone: AFL, Basketball, Cricket, Cross-Country, Football, Futsal, Netball, Rugby 7s, Swimming, Tennis, Touch, Track and Field, Volleyball and many others.
