Haileybury College Logo

Haileybury is acclaimed as a great school. The acclaim stems from our highly successful parallel education model, outstanding teachers, small class sizes, an unmatched level of individual attention, outstanding academic results, a strong international focus and over 120 years of history.

A private school that began with 17 students in 1892 has now grown to a school of over 4,000, making it the largest school in the country.

Haileybury embodies the philosophy of every student matters every day and that every stage of schooling is equally important. Haileybury strives to develop resilient, independent learners in an environment that is memorable and a joy for each child to attend. We nurture and care about the safety of our students and reward both excellence in outcomes and in effort.

The School’s academic results consistently rank us amongst the top private schools in Melbourne and the country. Following the outstanding NAPLAN results in 2013, which saw Haileybury ranked as the number one independent private primary school for girls and boys in Australia, the School’s 2015 NAPLAN results recorded the best outcomes in the eight-year history of the program. Exceptional results were also achieved in the 2015 VCE Results, which saw 44% of all students ranked in the top 10% of the country with an ATAR of 90 or above.

Haileybury City

Haileybury City is an exciting educational concept that will provide students from inner Melbourne, and parents working in the city, access to Haileybury's leading academic program.  Located at 383 King Street, West Melbourne, our ten-storey, 13,000 square-metre building, that includes terraces and roof top recreational areas, will be a unique city campus for approximately 800 students.

The cosmopolitan CBD location means that students will benefit from an enhanced educational program that includes a real world approach to learning with unparalleled proximity to Melbourne's best cultural, educational, historic and sporting precincts and facilities, including Melbourne's oldest park, Flagstaff Gardens.

Like all Haileybury students, those at Haileybury City will develop the independence and resilience required for life in the 21st century, with a firm understanding of their capacity to contribute to the world to make a difference for the better.
