Australia school student to teacher ratios by sector 2001-2017How is student to teacher ratio trending in Australia? A short answer: a good trend. It's been gradually improved from 14.8 (2001) to 13.6 (2017). Also the trend is shared by each school sector. Independent schools have the loweststudent to teacher ratios followed by government schools. Are you surprised that Catholic schools have higheststudent to teacher ratios? The good thing is that they have improved the most in the past 5 years. Now they are close to government schools.
