I've noticed some schools have more "stars" allocated but with a lower score
compared to other school with less "star"

Is there a link you could please direct me to, explaining how these are accurately tabulated?

A:
Based on a statistical approach using median scores, a school's English and Maths test results are rated with 5 grades nationally while the State Overall score is based on the weighted average of all the subject scores in a state. There may be such situations that some schools have more "stars" allocated but with a lower score compared to other school with less "stars". This is because their subject scores might fall in grade cut-off boundaries. One school could have an extra star and the other could have one less. In this instance, State Overall should give the whole picture. Since some parents want better accuracy than 5 grades, Better Education sets the default scale for State Overall Score to 60-100. With this scale, State Overall Score can be converted to a ranking position. See state overall score in school rating.

If the school doesn't have comparative data, for example, the tuition or test result is not available to the selected level or we don't have adequate data to rate the school, all or some of the school's ratings will be classified as "Not Rated".
