2018 VCE Results and School Achievements

This year 36 students achieved perfect ATAR of 99.95, with 24 boys and 12 girls.

As usual, girls outperformed boys, achieving an average ATAR of 66.29 compared with 63.96 for their male counterparts. The average ATAR for all students was 65.22.

Korowa Anglican Girls’ School - six students achieving perfect study scores

Korowa Anglican Girls’ School is celebrating its impressive results, with six students achieving perfect study scores.

And 47 per cent of students achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, which places them in the top 10 per cent of the state. 11 per cent of students achieved an ATAR of 99 or higher.

Mac.Robertson Girls High School - 20 perfect study scores of 50

The Mac. Robertson Girls’ High School, which is often the top-performing  school when it comes to VCE, is celebrating 20 perfect study scores of 50 today.

58 per cent of its students achieved an ATAR above 95, and the school’s two duxes achieved the highest possible ATARs of 99.95

Haileybury - three students scored the highest possible ATAR of 99.95

Emily Cao, Naman Chaudhry and Michael Malek’s scores place them in the top 0.05 per cent of students in the state.

They also headed up the 28 per cent of Haileybury students who received an ATAR of 95 or above.

Overall the school, comprising five campuses including one in Beijing, had 93 per cent of students place in the top 40 per cent nationally.

Scotch College - six students get ATAR 99.95

30 per cent of students who achieved an ATAR of 95 or more.

The school’s median ATAR was 88.85 and recorded 18 perfect scores of 50 across 12 subjects.

McKinnon Secondary College - 11 students achieved perfect study scores of 50

14 students of McKinnon Secondary College scored above 99.

Overall, 35 per cent of students got an ATAR above 90 and 11 students achieved perfect study scores of 50.

Methodist Ladies' College - 19 perfect study scores

Also 19 Year 12 students in MLC class 2018 scored 99 or above, placing them in the top one per cent in the state. 

Sixty additional students will receive their International Baccalaureate (IB) results in early January.

Melbourne University Chancellor’s Scholarship recipients

A total of 43 students have received Melbourne Chancellor’s Scholarship at Melbourne University. 

The scholarship awards a student a HECS-exempt place in a Melbourne University undergraduate course, along with a $5000 annual allowance for local students for the duration of their degree. 

The main eligibility criteria of the scholarship: ATAR >=  99.9.
