I am a multilingual cellist (fluent in english, german and chinese) recently returned to Melbourne after twelve years abroad in Europe during which I studied and worked in world leading institutes and orchestras the U.K, Switzerland and Germany.

Through my studies with world class musicians at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester U.K and Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland I have become an interpreter of cultures through music by means of the cello. I incorporate in my teaching a wide range of musical languages ranging from baroque instrumental playing to modern pop and film music repertoires. I am eager to share with my students the knowledge and skills I acquired through my experience working as a tutti cellist in one of Germany’s leading orchestras, Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as teaching at the State Music School of North Breisgau in Germany over the past five years.

I also have an Eighth Grade Piano AMEB certification and incoporate piano accompaniment extensively in my lessons and class concerts.

I adopt a friendly and encouraging approach in my private and group lessons and strive for a balance between motivating the students’ ongoing interest in music and their personal performance development.

In the past year I have significantly contributed to several of my students’ Abitur (VCE equivalent) exams in music performance helping them secure outstanding results.
